Gunmen Kill 3 Infants, 6 Others In Birnin Gwari

Nine persons including three infants were killed on Sunday when suspected terrorists attacked travellers in Birnin Gwari Local Government of Kaduna State, Northwest Nigeria
The incident happened at Zankoro along the dreaded Birnin-Gwari-Kaduna highway.
Mukhtar Lawal, a resident who came to the rescue of the victims after the incident revealed to HumAngle that “ the group killed many people including three infants on their way to a ceremony at Doka, Birnin-Gwari Local Government”.
While the chairman of Gwari Emirate Progressive Union ( BEPU) Barrister Salisu Haruna lamented that “ the group on Monday morning blocked the road at the same Zankoro at about 9 am shooting sporadically and abducted an unspecified number of people.
The Emir said six persons were wounded and are now receiving treatment at Buruku along Kaduna-Birnin-Gwari Highway.
This came 24hours after some armed men attacked Kaya community in Giwa Local Government where they killed 14 villagers and set properties ablaze.
Kaduna State Police command on Sunday morning said that the incident was a retaliation from the armed group after the community burnt three of its members.
