#ENDSARS Protesters Crowdfund To Support Fearless Protester

On October 17, Ms Jane Obiene joined hundreds of protesters in Nigeria’s capital city, Abuja with crutches, despite persistent attacks against protesters by security forces and hired thugs.

Ms Obiene joined the protesters walking for miles to demand an end to police brutality in Nigeria.

Jonathan Odoba in a tweet called her his hero of the day.

“My hero for today was this lady. She walked all through the protest #Endsars.”

Jonathan’s tweet has gained over 33,000 likes and 27,000 retweets.

Protesters have continued to show admiration for her passion and courage, despite her disability.

A Twitter user called Doctor Aproko shared a crowding funding account to support her with a prosthetic leg.

“This is Jane, She’s been unemployed since 2013 partly because of her disability, she came out in the #EndSARS protests, and we need to help.
