Terrorists Kill 20, Injure Several Others In Fresh Kaduna Attack

Terrorists reportedly killed no fewer than 20 persons and injured many others in a fresh attack on Southern Kaduna.

HumAngle gathered that the attack, which occurred in three communities of Zangon Kataf Local Government, occurred on Thursday, a few days after security operatives were deployed in some communities of the state.

The affected communities are Kurmin Masara, Apyia Shyim, and Takmawai.

Several houses were reportedly burnt to ashes and many residents fled to neighbouring communities to save their lives.

The police authorities are yet to confirm the incident, but the chairman of the local government, Elias Manza, said the attack started in the early morning of Thursday.

Kaduna State has been facing terrorist attacks recently, especially in the more troubled Southern Kaduna area.

Protests by different actors have been staged to pressure governments both at state and federal level to secure the area.

While the Federal Government attributed the attack to retaliation by other groups, the state government linked it to banditry.

The state governor, Mallam Nasir El-Rufa’i, has called for all hands to contribute in bringing the state back to normalcy.

Kaduna is one of the North West states facing different types of terror attacks.
