Some key security aides attached to the First Lady of Nigeria, Hajiya Aisha Buhari, have been arrested by personnel of the Nigeria Police, according to a report by PRNigeria.
HumAngle checks revealed that the aides to the first lady were still being detained at 11p.m. On Friday, several hours after she cried out and appealed to the Inspector-General of Police, Mr Mohammed Adamu, to release them.
The tweet reads: “Finally, I call on the IGP to release my assigned staff who are still in the custody of the police in order to avoid putting their lives in danger or exposure to COVID-19 while in their custody.”
will do well to remember that.

A competent source within the Presidential Villa told HumAngle that the arrest was allegedly ordered by Tunde Sabiu, an influential personal assistant to Mr President.
Tunde, who had earlier travelled to Lagos and Daura, refused to self-isolate upon his return and was said to be very angry with the aides for insisting that he followed medical protocol for COVID-19.
HumAngle gathered that his refusal to isolate and respect the staff, led to a disagreement between him and the First Lady.
According to PRNigeria, those whisked away may include the Aide-de-Camp (ADC) and few other key security details of the president’s wife.
“The reliable source, further disclosed that the tension rocking the ‘Seat of Power’, and midwifed by the sudden arrest of the First Lady’s aides is not unconnected to the ‘power-play game’ between an aide to Mr President and his wife, Aisha,” PRNigeria reported.
HumAngle learnt from competent sources in the Villa that all is not well between Tunde and the First Lady as “the two are locked in a bitter rivalry, with each trying to outdo the other on who calls the shots in the seat of power.”
