Insecurity: Police Arrest Informants In Katsina

Two men suspected to be informants to the armed group terrorising communities in Dandume Local Government Area of Katsina State have been arrested, HumAngle learnt.

Sa’adu Haruna and Musa Ibrahim, the suspected informants sources told our reporter are currently in the custody of the Katsina Police command.

This follows a recent attack by the armed group which led to the killing of three persons and abduction of four others.

Police sources revealed that the two men were heard discussing at a tea joint that some bandits would attack the village on December 27, 2020 and kidnap one Alhaji Dalhatu Namahangi.

The sources added that true to their discussion, an armed group attacked the town on that day and abducted Alhaji Namahangi, while his whereabouts remained unknown as of the time of filing this report.

Gambo Isah, Spokesman for the Katsina Police Command confirmed the development.

Some youths in the affected communities had on Saturday blocked highways leading to Funtua and Birnin Gwari Local Government in Kaduna State protesting against frequent attacks in their communities.
