EndSARS Protest: IPMAN Assures Kano Residents Of Sufficient Fuel Supply

The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), Kano State branch, has assured residents of its commitment to guarantee sufficient fuel supply to all the states under Kano zone.

Members of IPMAN temporarily suspended distribution of petroleum products across the country during the EndSARS protest.

After the end of the protest, queues re-merged at filling stations over the fear of impending fuel scarcity in some parts of the country, including the Federal Capital Territory.

Alhaji Bashir Dan-Mallam, the IPMAN Chairman in Kano, gave an assurance on Wednesday shortly after inspecting the loading of products at the Kano depot that there was no need to fear.

Dan-Mallam advised motorists and other members of the public not to engage in panic buying of fuel as the association was ready to convey products to all states under Kano zone, consisting of Jigawa, Katsina, Bauchi and Yobe states.

“IPMAN would keep supporting the Federal Government of Nigeria to ensure adequate fuel distribution across the country,” Dan-Mallam added.

The IPMAN chairman lauded Alhaji Lawal Musa, the Managing Director of Pipelines and Products Marketing Company, for directing all depots in the country to resume activities after the EndSARS protest.

He also commended the Group Managing Director of Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, Mr Mele Kyari, for his commitment to ensure transparency and accountability in the oil and gas industry.
