#EndSARS: Anonymous Attack CBN Website

The hacktivist organization, Anonymous, has took down the website of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) on Friday, October 16, 2020.

The grey hat hackers made the announcement on their Twitter account calling the operation a solidarity for the protesters in Nigerian.

“International hackers & Anonymous continue the cyber campaign against the government to call out corruption, demand police reform, and show solidarity with brave protestors,” the Anonymous tweeted.

The attack came hours after the Twitter account of the Nigerian Broadcast Commission (NBC) was confiscated by another hacker who attributed himself to Anonymous.

Anonymous had also exposed the data of some police officers in Nigeria operating under SARS after an attack on the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) database on Thursday, October 15, 2020.
