CAR Party Leader Alerts President Touadera On Atrocities Of Russian Mercenaries
An opposition politician in the Central African Republic has called on the President to curtail the excesses of Russian allies.
Nourd Gregaza, president of the Patriotic Rally for the Renewal of the Central African Republic (RPRC), has drawn the attention of President Faustin Archange Touadera to the excesses of his Russian allies in Bria, Haute-Kotto prefecture, Central African Republic.
In a letter addressed to the president dated Wednesday, April 28, the RPRC leader revealed that 72 hours after the allies entered Bria, their aggression irritated the Moslem community particularly in Goulas.
The RPRC leader reminded President Touadera that most of his close collaborators are power-hungry individuals who have turned a blind eye to the atrocities committed by the Russian mercenaries, whereas “they did not hesitate to go to the area during the elections campaign to ask the people to support you.”
“Now that you have been re-elected thanks to and with their votes, is that how you pay them?”
Gregaza in his letter to the president mentioned that the allies are loyal only to the President and not to citizens and he should curtail their excesses.
The RPRC leader warned that “this maltreatment and cruelty daily inflicted on a segment of our fellow citizens can also provoke real sufferings within persons who are already vulnerable to risk causing animosity among certain groups to the point of forcing them to return to terrorism.”
He called on President Touadera to impress on his Russian allies to treat his people that the president’s intention “to exterminate, thanks to your super allies, the Goulas combatants and to judicially pursue and put their leaders in prison is visible to all.”
“But I promise you that at this rate of escalation of violence, what awaits you, since history always repeats itself, and you have proof with what happened during the Bozize epoch is chaos for you and your government.”
