Breaking: Kano State Police Command Rescued A Man Locked For 15 years In A Room

The Police in Kano State early on Sunday rescued a 31 years old man locked up in a room by his father for 15 years.

The policeman from Sheka Station, in Nasarawa Local Government Area, Kano State, rescued the malnourished and pale looking man whose identity has yet to be known at 11:23 a.m. from the room which has no ventilation.

His father has refused to talk about the matter.

The rescue on Sunday is the second in four days in Kano State and third in a week by the police of persons held under illegal and dehumanizing custody by their parents.

The victim was taken to the hospital by security personnel who rescued him.

On Sunday, August 9, 2020, the police in Kebbi State rescued 10-year-old jibriluAliyu in a stable where he lived with animals for two years without care. His parents said he had epilepsy.

On Thursday, August 13, the police in Kano State rescued Ahmad Ibrahim, a 30-year-old man, imprisoned by his parents for seven years for alleged involvement in drugs.

Ahmad’s father, Aminu Ibrahim, claimed he locked up the man to enable him to receive alternative medical care for an attack by evil spirits after he began to take drugs.
